Lot 292: A Collection of Ceramics Kitchenware and Vintage Board Games Including Denby Stoneware
A large mixed lot comprising approximately 20 pieces of ceramics, kitchenware, and vintage board games. The ceramic component includes several pieces of Denby stoneware, featuring brown-glazed lidded bowls and a large green-glazed canister with a gold-tone label for sugar; one bowl is marked with the Denby backstamp, Made in England. Also present is a large blue and white transfer-ware pedestal bowl with a scalloped rim, decorated with a rural landscape scene and floral borders. The lot includes an oriental-style teapot with hand-painted polychrome floral decoration and a wicker swing handle, a large cylindrical buff-coloured stoneware jar with black transfer-printed kitchen utensils, and a white vitrified ceramic mortar and pestle set. Further items include assorted unglazed terracotta pots, a circular silver-tone metal tray with chased foliate and scroll designs, and two vintage Waddingtons board games: Careers and Buccaneer.
