Lot 503: Vintage Art Vannes France Crystal Cat Figurine Trinket Dish
An Art Vannes lead crystal figurine depicting a stylised kitten or big cat cub. Produced by the Cristallerie de Vannes-le-Chatel in France during the mid-20th century, the piece is designed with a hollowed-out back to serve as a decorative trinket dish, candy bowl, or pipe rest. The form features smooth, rounded contours with minimalist facial details and a tapered tail raised upwards. The figurine stands on four thick, integral feet. The base of one foot bears an acid-etched maker’s mark within a lozenge-shaped border, containing the letters ART above the name Vannes and the word FRANCE.
