Lot 569: A Collection of Vintage Bayko Plastic Building Sets by Plimpton Engineering Co. Ltd.
A group of vintage Bayko plastic construction sets manufactured by Plimpton Engineering Co. Ltd. of Liverpool, England. The collection includes a main Bayko Building Set in its original blue pictorial cardboard box and a Bayko Converting Set 1X in a blue and yellow cardboard box. Also present is an original instruction and plans booklet for Sets 0 to 3, titled The Original Plastic Building Sets. The contents comprise various moulded plastic parts including perforated green baseplates, red roof sections, and assorted wall, window, and door components. Two yellow envelopes are included, containing metal brick rods for structural assembly, specifically labelled for No. 1 Set and No. 1X Set. The lot also contains loose instruction papers, some of which are marked Meccano Parts. The instruction booklet identifies the manufacturer as Plimpton Engineering Co. Ltd., Liverpool 1, England, and lists Patent No. 422645.
