Lot 674: A Collection of Italian Giltwood Framed Botanical Pictures
A collection of small, oval-framed botanical pictures featuring various floral sprays, including roses, anemones, and lilies. Each image is printed or hand-coloured onto a textured fabric ground. The frames are constructed from wood and finished in a traditional Florentine style with a concentric ribbed design and a gilded finish. A selection of the frames features a grey-blue painted inner border, while others are entirely gilded. The reverse of each piece is finished with a green and white foliage-patterned paper and includes a metal hanging loop for wall mounting. Each frame bears a round white label with a red fleur-de-lis symbol and red printed text stating REAL WOOD and HAND MADE IN FLORENCE ITALY, accompanied by a smaller round sticker marked GOLD LEAF.
