Lot 680: A pair of Dartington Crystal glassware items including a decanter and carafe
This lot features two pieces of contemporary English lead crystal manufactured by Dartington Crystal of Devon. The group comprises a large decanter with a ground-glass stopper and a smaller open-necked carafe or pitcher. Both vessels feature a heavy-based cylindrical form that tapers slightly towards a flared rim. The smaller carafe displays a sandblasted circular maker’s mark on the lower body containing a stylised letter D and the words Dartington Crystal England. The larger decanter is unmarked but is of matching design and construction.
