Lot 840: A George III style mahogany serpentine-fronted bachelor's chest of drawers
A George III style mahogany serpentine-fronted chest of drawers of small proportions. The top surface is finished with flame mahogany veneers and a cross-banded edge. The front contains four graduated long drawers, each veneered in mahogany and fitted with a pair of cast brass swan-neck handles on shaped backplates. The chest is supported by bracket feet. Primary materials include mahogany and mahogany veneers. The construction and finish indicate a mid-20th-century reproduction.
Dimensions: Small proportions suitable for use as a side chest or bachelor’s chest.
