Lot 895: A set of three late 20th-century upholstered wingback fireside chairs
A set of three matching high-back wing armchairs, designed in a traditional fireside or nursing chair style. Each chair is constructed with an exposed light-coloured beech frame and armrests, finished with a clear varnish. The upholstery consists of a pale sage green and cream floral-patterned fabric. The backrests feature a vertical arrangement of three tufted buttons for added detail. The wooden armrests terminate in rounded knuckle-style grips and transition into the front legs, while the rear legs are slightly splayed for stability. Although an illegible white label is present on the front right armrest of one chair, no definitive manufacturer marks were found. The design is consistent with the style of makers such as High Seat Ltd or Parker Knoll.
