Lot 998: A Trio of Mahogany Finished Nest of Tables in the Chippendale Style
A nest of three graduated tables of rectangular form, designed in a traditional English reproduction style. The tables feature mahogany-veneered tops finished with a distinctive carved gadrooned or rope-twist border to the edges. Each table is supported by four slender turned legs. The design is reminiscent of 18th-century Chippendale furniture. No maker’s marks are visible on the pieces.
