Lot 1040: A mid-20th-century Jacobean Revival style dark oak leaded glass display cabinet
A two-piece dark oak display cabinet in the mid-20th-century Jacobean Revival style, in the manner of British manufacturers such as Wood Bros (Old Charm) or Jaycee. The upper section consists of a tall hutch featuring leaded-glass side panels and two front doors with diamond-shaped panes. The interior is fitted with two cylindrical brass-tone downlights at the top and contains a glass shelf, with pre-drilled holes for adjustable supports. The vertical front stiles are decorated with a carved guilloche pattern. The base unit comprises four short drawers in a two-over-two arrangement, each fitted with circular brass-tone drop ring handles. The unit is constructed from dark-stained oak with a visible grain.
