Lot 537: Two Edwardian silver-mounted cut glass dressing table items including a Levi and Salaman box
This lot comprises two hallmarked silver-mounted cut glass vanity items. The first is a circular jar with a sterling silver lid decorated with the Reynolds Angels motif in repousse. The glass base is cut with diamond and fan patterns and features a starburst design to the underside. The lid rim is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1915, with the lion passant, anchor, and date letter q. The second item is an oval trinket box with a sterling silver lid featuring foliate scrollwork and a vacant cartouche to the centre. The lid is hallmarked for the maker Levi and Salaman, Birmingham, 1903, with the maker’s mark L&S, lion passant, anchor, and date letter d. The glass base is decorated with a repeating diamond-cut pattern.
