This collection of J&G Meakin earthenware tableware is from the Maidstone range, featuring the Bianca pattern. The service is decorated with a speckled cream ground and a reddish-brown transfer-printed border of stylized repeating scroll motifs. It includes coordinating pieces finished in a solid matte or satin dark brown glaze. The assortment comprises lidded circular tureens with lug handles, pitchers, small bowls with lug handles, and a large quantity of dinner and side plates in various sizes. The cream-coloured pieces are marked on the underside with a backstamp for Maidstone J&G Meakin Hanley England, while the brown pieces feature an impressed Made in England mark.
