Lot 673: National No. 25 Cast Metal Hand-Cranked Meat Mincer, Made in England
A vintage hand-cranked meat mincer or food grinder manufactured by National in England. The body is constructed from heavy cast metal, originally finished with a tinned coating, and features an integrated table-clamp mechanism with a threaded screw and wing-nut grip. The hopper is cast in relief with the word NATIONAL and the number 25. The neck of the clamp arm is clearly marked MADE IN ENGLAND. The manual crank arm is fitted with a lathe-turned wooden handle. This utilitarian model was a standard domestic kitchen implement during the mid-20th century.
