Lot 957: An Edwardian mahogany and inlaid kidney-shaped dressing table in the Sheraton Revival style
An Edwardian mahogany dressing table of kidney-shaped outline, designed in the Sheraton Revival style. The piece is surmounted by an integrated swing mirror with a shaped crest, positioned between two small superstructure drawers. The main carcase features five drawers arranged around a central kneehole, each finished with boxwood or satinwood stringing and fitted with brass ring handles. Visual inspection of the drawers reveals machine-cut dovetail construction and a light-coloured secondary timber. The structure is supported by four square tapered legs. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the item.
