Lot 253: Two Metal Storage Boxes Including a 1984 US Military Ammunition Container and a Vintage Utility Case
This lot comprises two metal storage containers. The first is a US military M19A1 style ammunition container constructed from steel with an olive drab finish. The lid features yellow stencilled text reading FOR M. G. M60 – M73. Side stencilling specifies 200 CARTRIDGES, 7.62 MM, M13, 1-M62-4-M80, and the lot code LC-84M600L627, indicating production at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 1984. The markings signify a standard belt ratio of four M80 ball rounds to one M62 tracer round. The container is fitted with a hinged lid and a tension-clasp latch. The second item is a rectangular steel utility storage box finished in a light green paint. It features a keyed barrel lock on the front, a recessed pull-handle on the lid, and a D-shaped swing handle on the right side.
