Lot 269: An Assortment of Decorative and Household Ceramics Metalware and Sundries
A collection of various household and decorative items. The lot includes a large blue and white ceramic basin featuring a reticulated inner rim with circular piercings and a repeating foliate pattern to the exterior in cobalt blue. Accompanied by a Japanese-style porcelain teapot and matching cream jug, both decorated with hand-painted figural scenes in a palette of orange, white, and gilt. A cardboard box contains multiple miscellaneous items including a stack of multi-coloured ceramic plates and bowls in blue and purple glazes, a large transfer-printed serving platter with a floral border, and a rectangular tray with floral decoration. Further contents include several ceramic egg cups, small metalware pitchers, a faceted glass vessel, and kitchen utensils such as scissors and a knife. Other items present comprise two small bird figurines, a miniature ceramic oil lamp with a brass burner, a green first aid kit, and a folder with a multi-coloured dot pattern. Markings are present on the underside of the blue and white basin but are not clearly legible from the provided images.
