Lot 293: A Collection of Vintage Glassware and Ceramics Including Holland America Line Souvenir and Pink Pressed Glass
An assortment of vintage household glassware and ceramics. The collection includes multiple pink pressed glass saucers or small plates featuring ornate scroll and floral relief decoration to the rim, in the style of Indiana Glass Tiara. Included is a clear glass promotional shot glass for the Holland America Line with white printed text. The clear glassware components comprise a circular lidded dish with a diamond-point and cross-hatch pattern topped with a silver-tone metal handle, a small glass decanter with a matching spherical stopper, and a tumbler decorated with a frosted Christmas tree motif. Other glass items include a large amber-to-red toned charger, two dark-toned amethyst or deep amber ribbed glass ramekins, and various drinking vessels and pedestal stands. The ceramic portion of the lot contains a stack of white saucers with blue-lined rims, several white utility bowls of varying sizes, and a decorative white ceramic lid featuring an orange-coloured fruit finial.
Condition report:
Items are in a used, as-found condition within a cardboard box. Visible surface dirt and residues are present throughout the collection. While no significant cracks are immediately apparent from the overview, items show signs of domestic wear consistent with age, and individual pieces may possess minor chips or surface scratches.
