Lot 305: An Assortment of Decorative Porcelain and Ceramic Objects and Miniatures
An assortment of decorative ceramic and porcelain objects and miniatures. The collection includes two porcelain figurines: a tall lady in a white dress with blue highlights and a gentleman in 18th-century style attire. A tall lidded teapot features a pedestal foot and is decorated with floral and avian transfer-ware designs. Also present is a blue-glazed miniature jug with a romantic scene and gilded accents, a green-glazed flower frog with multiple apertures, and two ceramic boots in amber and yellow glazes. The group is completed by two miniature cottage models, animal figurines including a poodle and a stylized sheep, a floral-patterned saucer with a recessed centre, and a small porcelain flower posy. The items display various decorative techniques including glazing, gilding, and transfer printing. No manufacturer marks are visible.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. Visible surface crazing is present on the teapot and several of the glazed items. Minor wear is evident to the gilded rims and transfer decoration. The figurines appear to be free of significant damage. Some pieces show light surface dirt consistent with long-term display.
