Lot 378: A Collection of Deer and Fawn Themed Ceramic and Porcelain Decorative Items
An assortment of decorative items featuring deer and fawn motifs, comprising approximately sixteen individual pieces. The collection includes teaware and storage items decorated with transfer-printed illustrations of fawns in woodland settings, consisting of a globular teapot with lid, a large cylindrical storage jar, and two mugs. Two circular decorative wall plates feature transfer-printed scenes; one depicts a fawn among foxgloves and ferns, the other shows a deer in an autumnal landscape. The group includes two larger glazed ceramic figurines of fawns in reclining poses, finished with high-gloss brown glazes and characteristic white spotting. A variety of smaller figurines in different styles are also present, including several miniature glazed porcelain fawns and a realistically modelled figure on a grassy base. These items are characteristic of mid to late 20th-century commercial pottery. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible in the provided images.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition with no major chips, cracks, or repairs visible. The glazed surfaces retain a good level of shine.
