Buyer's Premium:

A trio of WWII-era British Royal Navy Engineer Branch officer tunics. Each double-breasted garment is tailored from dark navy wool and features gold-tone brass buttons embossed with the Royal Navy fouled anchor. The collection comprises various ranks. One tunic represents the rank of Captain, featuring shoulder boards with four rows of gold lace and an extensive ribbon bar including the 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal, and War Medal 1939-45. A second tunic denotes the rank of Commander, displaying three rows of gold lace on the cuffs with the distinctive executive curl. The third tunic indicates the rank of Sub-Lieutenant, featuring a single row of gold lace with an executive curl. All three examples display the maroon cloth underlay between the gold lace, which is the traditional distinction for the Engineer Branch of the Royal Navy. One wooden hanger bears the handwritten inscription Lt. Corrall.

Condition report:

The tunics are in good vintage condition. There is visible surface dust, lint, and minor fraying to the edges of the ribbon bars. The gold lace and brass buttons show light oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age. No significant moth damage or structural tears are observed.
