Lot 404: An Assortment of Vintage Still Film and Super 8mm Movie Cameras with Accessories
This collection of photographic equipment features a variety of consumer-level still and movie cameras from the mid-to-late 20th century. Still film cameras include an Agfa Agfamatic 50 viewfinder camera fitted with an Agfa Colorstar Parator lens, and a Kodak Instamatic 333 cartridge camera housed in its original yellow and blue retail box with a flashcube and printed ephemera. The lot also contains a silver-toned Polaroid JoyCam instant camera and a vintage box camera in the style of a Kodak Brownie No. 2, finished in textured black Rexine with dual viewfinders for portrait and landscape orientation. Compact 35mm cameras include a Samsung autofocus model in a champagne-toned housing with a branded soft carrying case, a Wide Pic panorama camera, and a Jazz compact camera. Moving image equipment is represented by a Hanimex Compact SPM 50 Super 8mm silent movie camera featuring a zoom lens and a folding pistol grip. The items are in used vintage condition, exhibiting varying degrees of surface wear, dust accumulation, and cosmetic scuffs consistent with age and use. The Kodak Instamatic 333 retail packaging shows significant wear, including tearing and structural damage. Shutter mechanisms, lens clarity, and electronic functions have not been tested.
