Lot 411: A Collection of Vintage Walt Disney Memorabilia Including a Cussons Davy Crockett Soap Figure and Bambi Themed Items
This collection of vintage Walt Disney memorabilia features items primarily themed around the animated film Bambi and the Davy Crockett television series. The lot includes a Cussons moulded soap figure of Davy Crockett depicted in a buckskin outfit, complete with its original light blue base box and illustrated lid featuring the Walt Disney’s Davy Crockett and Cussons branding. The Bambi themed items comprise a framed colour print titled Walt Disney’s Classic Bambi, a ceramic mug with a green interior and woodland character illustration, and a pair of porcelain cabinet plates with gilt rims featuring Bambi, Thumper, and Flower. Also included is a snow globe containing a Bambi figure, mounted on a base designed to resemble a snow-dusted tree stump. A group of moulded PVC figurines completes the lot, depicting characters including Mickey Mouse in Santa and elf costumes, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale. Condition report:
The items generally appear in good vintage condition. The Davy Crockett box lid exhibits some age-related staining and shelf wear at the edges. The Bambi ceramic items and framed print show typical signs of age but no visible chips or cracks. The PVC figurines display light play-wear with minor paint rubbing visible on the extremities. The snow globe contains clear liquid and appears intact.
