Lot 457: A Collection of Vintage Personal Grooming and Leisure Accessories including Valet and Gillette Razors
An assortment of vintage personal grooming and leisure items of mid-20th-century British and European origin. The collection includes several Valet AutoStrop safety razors, with one set in a purple velvet-lined case marked Made in Great Britain and another in a brown leather travel zip-case with chrome-plated canisters. A Gillette safety razor is housed in a black textured case. The lot features multiple straight razors with black scales, some with original cardboard boxes including one marked Hamburg. Also present is a Braun electric shaver in a maroon case and a manicure set with green-handled tools in a matching green case. Leisure items include a box of Patience playing cards by Chas. Goodall & Son Ltd London and a Sharps Plain Super-Kreem Toffee tin. Photographic items comprise a black compact camera and a brown leather camera case. Two vintage pocket lighters are also included.
