A sterling silver novelty mustard pot designed in the form of a milk churn, featuring two horizontal reeded bands around the body. The pot is fitted with a swinging bail handle and a hinged, circular lid with a cutout for a spoon and a small ball-style thumbpiece. The interior contains its original removable cobalt blue glass liner. Included is a matching silver mustard spoon with a terminal loop. The pot and lid are struck with London hallmarks for 1935, including the maker mark EHS for Edward H. Smith. The spoon features matching hallmarks and the voluntary commemorative mark depicting the conjoined profiles of King George V and Queen Mary, used to celebrate the Silver Jubilee in 1935.
