Lot 511: A Tremaen Pottery sculptural stoneware table lamp base Newlyn Cornwall
A studio stoneware table lamp base produced by Tremaen Pottery in Newlyn, Cornwall. The piece features an organic, sculptural form with a heavily textured surface, finished in a mottled teal and sea-green glaze characteristic of the pottery’s mid-century output. The underside is fitted with a green felt pad and retains the original rectangular paper manufacturer’s label. The label displays a circular logo containing a stylised letter T, accompanied by the text tremaen pottery Newlyn Cornwall. The lamp is fitted with a white electrical cord.
Condition report:
The ceramic body appears to be in good overall condition. There is evidence of minor chipping and wear to the ceramic edge at the base where it meets the felt covering. As a vintage electrical item, this lot is sold as a decorative object only and must be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician before being connected to a power supply.
