Lot 586: Vintage Mexican Copper Tribal Mask Pendant Necklace
A vintage mid-century Mexican folk art necklace featuring a large oval copper pendant. The centre of the pendant holds a stylized tribal mask with a dark patinated finish, framed by a corded wire border and surrounded by a secondary frame with decorative S-scroll wirework and two raised copper bosses. The outer rim is finished with a broad ruffled edge. The pendant is suspended from a copper chain consisting of alternating elongated double-wire links and circular jump rings, secured with a hook-and-eye clasp. The reverse of the pendant is stamped with a central eagle mark, below which is the word MEXICO and to the right the word COPPER.
