Lot 69: Two Ground-Working Tools including a Roughneck Digging Fork and a Faithfull Pickaxe
This lot comprises two modern heavy-duty ground-working tools. The first is a Roughneck digging fork, featuring a tubular yellow-coated steel shaft and a black plastic D-shaped handle grip. The fork head is constructed with four square-profile steel tines. The shaft is clearly printed with the brand name ROUGHNECK and the slogan TOUGH WORLD. TOUGH TOOLS. in black block capitals. A small adhesive label numbered 069 is affixed to the handle grip. The second tool is a Faithfull pickaxe, consisting of a forged steel head finished in dark green paint, mounted on a straight wooden handle, possibly ash or hickory. The metal head is embossed with the maker name FAITHFULL and retains a modern retail barcode sticker. The tools are currently bundled together with white plastic cable ties and a piece of orange adhesive tape bearing the handwritten digits 7298.
