Lot 729: A Set of Contemporary Fantasy Style Costume Armour
This lot comprises a contemporary costume armour set in a fantasy or gladiatorial style. The collection includes a helmet with a domed crown and a tall open-work crest, finished with a brown patinated surface to simulate aged iron. The breastplate is a single piece with a heavily pitted and distressed texture, secured by adjustable leather straps and metal buckles at the shoulders and sides. A wide tan leather cross-body sash is included, featuring a rectangular panel set with four small brass-tone buckles. Additional components consist of a dark brown faux-fur mantle and a tan suedette lower tunic. The set is intentionally distressed throughout to achieve a battle-worn appearance. Auction lot stickers are adhered to the surface of the helmet and breastplate.
