Lot 8: A Youngman 3-way aluminium combination ladder and a large traditional style rug
A multi-functional Youngman 3-way combination ladder constructed from aluminium. The ladder is designed for configuration as a step ladder, an extension ladder, or for use on stairs. The front section features six rungs. A large yellow adhesive instructional label is present on the side rail detailing the various configurations and safety information. Accompanying the ladder is a large traditional style floor rug in the Persian Kashan manner. The rug features a central multi-lobed floral medallion set against a rich red ground. The main field is filled with an all-over intricate floral and foliate Shah Abbasi style pattern. The rug is finished with multiple borders, including a wide primary border with a cream ground decorated with repeating floral palmettes and scrolling vines, flanked by narrower blue and red guard borders.
