Lot 847: A Pair of Traditional Hardwood Framed Armchairs with Reeded Armrests
A pair of traditional-style armchairs featuring dark-stained hardwood frames. The chairs are constructed with wide, curved armrests that display decorative vertical reeding or grooved detailing on the outer faces. Both chairs are upholstered in a light cream or beige textured fabric, which is decorated with a subtle repeating pattern of small embroidered leaf motifs. The design incorporates loose, padded seat and back cushions for comfort. The frames transition into solid block-style feet at the base. While the design shares characteristics with colonial or safari-style furniture often marketed under names such as Durian, no manufacturer marks or labels are visible on the pieces. A small white lot sticker is present on one armrest of each chair.
