Lot 861: Powell and Others, An Assortment of Framed Artworks and Ephemera including Watercolours, Prints and Photographs (Signed)
An assortment of framed artworks and ephemera comprising various mediums and subjects. The collection includes a watercolour study of red poppies, signed lower left Powell; a second watercolour depicting a fantastical grey dragon with a rider, bearing an illegible signature lower left; and a floral still life print of roses. Photographic works include a colour print of a large dragon parade float situated within a modern city skyline and a coastal sunset scene featuring sailboats in a harbour. The lot is completed by a small framed figurative print of a young girl on a beach and a framed genealogical document with heraldic crests and decorative borders. The items are presented in an array of frames, including gilt, silver-toned, burl-wood effect, and dark-stained wood designs. Markings include auction house lot stickers for lot 861 and lot 879 on the glazing of several pieces. A partial shipping label on the associated cardboard storage box identifies the source as AIBORGH & ZAMORA S.A. BRASIL.
