Lot 260: A Collection of Vintage Games including Chad Valley Escalado and Jokari
This lot comprises an assortment of vintage games and household items. Included is an Escalado horse racing game by Chad Valley, featuring its original cardboard box with red and yellow graphics and the printed text CHAD VALLEY and ESCALADO THE GREATEST RACE GAME OF ALL TIME. The lot also contains a Jokari skill game consisting of two wooden paddles, each printed with the JOKARI mark in black, and a weighted red wooden anchor block with an attached elasticated cord and ball. Additionally, there is a rectangular tray or board decorated with illustrations of cheese and crackers.
Condition report:
The Chad Valley Escalado box is in poor condition, showing significant crushing, tearing, and shelf wear. The game appears incomplete, missing the metal horses and the winding mechanism typically required for play. The Jokari paddles and base are in good used condition with minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age; the elastic cord is tangled but intact. The cheese-themed tray shows light surface marks. All items are sold as seen.
