Lot 345: Two Vintage British Industrial Wall-Mounted Work Lamps

This lot comprises two distinct types of mid-20th-century British industrial articulated lighting. The first lamp features a multi-link steel concertina or scissor-action extension mechanism with a brown-toned finish. It is fitted with a black enamel bell-shaped shade with a white interior and is mounted on a rectangular metal wall plate showing surface oxidation. It carries a handwritten identification tag reading 229 / EX MOD CONCERTINA / WORK LAMP, indicating Ministry of Defence provenance. The second lamp consists of a three-part articulated arm with adjustable friction joints and a silver-toned metallic finish. The shade is black with a contrasting grey ribbed cooling section at the rear, attached to a cast metal angled mounting bracket. A circular cast mark is present on the primary pivot joint containing the words PATENT or REGD DESIGN, though the central manufacturer name is not clearly legible. Both lamps have been rewired with modern black cables and are fitted with standard UK 3-pin plugs.
