Lot 422: A Group of Four Porcelain Figurines in the Rococo Style
A group of four glazed porcelain figurines depicting ladies in eighteenth-century attire, decorated in a palette of cobalt blue, white, and gold. The collection comprises a matching pair of figurines, each featuring a lady wearing a wide-brimmed blue hat and a gown with blue floral sprig patterns. Also included is a larger figurine with an off-the-shoulder cobalt blue bodice and a wide white skirt adorned with polychrome floral sprays and a scalloped gilt rim. The final figurine depicts a lady in a tiered skirt with bands of blue floral decoration and gilt highlights. The larger figurine features an opening in the reverse, characteristic of a musical mechanism housing. Each piece is finished with hand-painted polychrome and gilt accents. The lot includes a sticker for HCP Auctions South West marked Lot 422 and a handwritten tag numbered 9475.
