Lot 436: A Collection of Vintage Motoring Manuals and Ephemera including Ford and Renault
This lot comprises a collection of mid-20th-century motoring manuals and various printed ephemera. Included is a Ford Motor Company-Limited pamphlet titled Schedule of Maximum Repair Charges for Anglia, Prefect (1953 onwards), Escort, and Squire models, produced in Dagenham, England, which displays a Royal Warrant crest for Her Majesty the Queen. The collection also contains a Renault Instruction Book featuring brown card covers and vertical stripe detailing. Educational and local interest items include a copy of Wightman’s Arithmetical Tables with a pre-decimal price of 3d. and a decorative compass-design cover, and a guide titled Walks Around Bakewell featuring a monochrome image of a stone bridge. Additional items include a white automotive pamphlet with a blue Lucas logo and a larger red and white softcover book with a 7.5p net price label. Most items are stapled softcover publications.
