A collection of entomological specimens and associated literature from the National Geographic Real-Life Bugs and Insects series, published in association with the Natural History Museum. The lot comprises multiple insect and arachnid specimens, each preserved within an individual clear rectangular resin block. Each block contains a printed label identifying the common species name and geographic origin. The specimens are housed in a dedicated black plastic collector’s display case with a white moulded interior tray. Identifiable specimens include a Giant Froghopper from Indonesia, a Frog-legged Leaf Beetle from Laos, a Spiny Orbweaver Spider from Zambia, a Tropical Weevil from Bangladesh, an Opulent Jewel Beetle from Sumatra, a Ground Beetle from Vietnam, an Exotic Cicada from Thailand, a Tobacco Cricket from Pakistan, a Hindustani Cicada from India, a Clown Shield Bug from China, and a Short-horned Grasshopper from Iraq. The collection is accompanied by several editions of the Real-Life Bugs and Insects magazine, many of which are preserved in their original clear plastic sleeves. Identifiable issues include Issue 53 featuring the Nursery Web Spider, Issue 62, Issue 52, Issue 34, and Issue 4.
