Lot 490: A Mid-Century Style Mottled Art Glass Fish Sculpture signed Wedgwood
A hand-blown art glass sculpture of a stylized fish, signed by Wedgwood. The piece features internal decoration consisting of a mottled pattern of emerald green and dark brown spots over an opaque cream-coloured underlay, all encased within a thick layer of clear glass. The sculpture is fashioned with an elongated, arched body and a broad, flared tail with ribbed textures. The base is ground flat and polished. While the form and colour palette are highly consistent with late 20th-century production from the Wedgwood glassworks, no etched signature or maker’s mark is visible in the provided images.
