Lot 550: A Collection of Vintage and Contemporary Costume Jewellery in a Wicker Basket
A large and varied collection of costume jewellery, primarily mid-to-late 20th-century styles, presented in a grey wicker basket. The assortment includes a range of plastic, resin, and metal-based bangles. Notable examples feature a yellow and white plastic bangle, a bright pink star-patterned bangle, and a metal bangle wrapped in red and green tartan fabric. The collection further comprises multiple beaded necklaces and bracelets in diverse colours and materials, including chunky blue, red, and purple bead strands, a faceted translucent pink bead necklace, and multi-strand white seed bead items. Several pieces incorporate naturalistic materials such as polished seed pods, carved wooden beads, and tiered black and white wooden discs. Condition report:
The jewellery is in generally good vintage condition, consistent with age and use. The items are currently in a tangled state within the basket. Minor surface wear and abrasions are present on some plastic and metal components. Clasps and findings have not been individually tested for functionality.
