Lot 602: A Collection of Chinese Style Brassware and Decorative Metal Items
An assortment of decorative metalware and domestic items. The collection includes a circular brass charger featuring hand-etched Chinoiserie decoration with a central dragon motif and a border of further dragons and Greek key patterns. Also present is a rectangular brass tray with a scalloped edge, decorated with hand-etched floral and foliate designs. The lot further comprises a long-handled wrought metal toasting fork with a three-pronged head and twisted stem, and a wooden staff fitted with multiple metallic collars. The brass items appear to be sand-cast and hand-decorated. No maker marks are visible on any of the pieces.
