Lot 652: A Vintage Carved Wood Elephant Group Table Lamp
A vintage table lamp featuring a decorative base composed of a group of three interlocking elephants with raised trunks. The base is constructed from carved dark-stained wood, possibly mahogany or rosewood, and is set upon a circular, textured plinth. The lamp is fitted with a bell-form rectangular fabric shade in a light cream or beige colour, featuring an embossed floral damask pattern and finished with a braided rope-style trim. The lamp is equipped with a single bulb socket and a black power cord with an integrated inline thumb switch. No maker’s marks are present on the body or base. Two auction labels are attached, including a tag from MCP Auctions South West for Lot 652 and a hand-written tag noting a reserve of £20.
