Lot 658: A contemporary oak corner media cabinet in the Jacobean revival style
A low corner storage cabinet or media unit of pentagonal form, constructed from oak and oak veneers. The design is in the Jacobean revival style, characteristic of late 20th-century British manufacturers such as Old Charm or Jaycee. The front is fitted with a single drop-down door containing a leaded glass panel with a diamond lattice pattern. The door is centred with a dark-toned metal ring pull and is mounted on hinges at the base. The top consists of a lighter-toned oak veneer with a prominent grain, finished with a high-gloss protective lacquer. The unit sits on a shaped plinth base with a traditional bracket-style cutout to the front. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
