Lot 742: A Set of 4 Mid-Century Modern Style Bentwood and Chrome Stacking Side Chairs
A set of 4 stacking side chairs in a contemporary mid-century modern style, closely resembling the IKEA Skalsta range. The chairs feature ergonomic, one-piece shells constructed from bentwood plywood with a light-toned wood veneer finish, possibly beech or maple. Both the seat and the backrest are fitted with integrated, upholstered pads in a light blue-grey faux leather or vinyl. The shells are mounted onto chrome-plated tubular steel frames, which are shaped to allow the chairs to be stacked vertically for storage. A handwritten paper lot tag is present on one chair, inscribed with Lot 114 and 4 BENTWOOD CHAIRS, with a circled number 229 in the top corner. No manufacturer labels, stamps, or marks are visible.
