Lot 778: An Early 20th-Century Mahogany Two-Tier Tea Trolley
This is an early 20th-century mahogany two-tier tea trolley or serving cart, likely dating from the 1920s or 1930s. The trolley features a two-tiered design with the top surface finished in a quartered sunburst mahogany veneer, framed by a raised gallery edge in the style of a tray top. The structure is supported by four square-section legs which are connected by a lower mahogany shelf. The unit is mounted on four small metal casters for mobility. Two white adhesive labels are present: one on the top surface handwritten with 778 and another on the side frame handwritten with 1086, which appear to be auction lot indicators. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the piece.
