Lot 783: A Primitive Three-Legged Hardwood Cobbler's Stool
A rustic, primitive three-legged stool of country vernacular style. The stool features a thick, irregular rectangular hardwood top, possibly elm, with rounded corners and edges. It is supported by three simple, tapered cylindrical legs which are secured to the seat using traditional through-tenon joinery, visible as circular plugs on the top surface. The piece has a heavily weathered and aged appearance, characteristic of a utilitarian farm or cottage object.
