Lot 841: A Queen Anne Style Rectangular Stool with Willow Bough Style Upholstery
A large rectangular stool or bench constructed in the Queen Anne style. The padded seat is upholstered in a contemporary cream-coloured fabric featuring a large-scale olive green leaf pattern in the style of the Willow Bough design by William Morris. The upholstery is secured to the frame with a decorative border of dark metal tacks. The stool is raised on four cabriole legs, each detailed with a carved scroll motif at the knee and terminating in a scrolled foot. The frame is made from a dark-stained hardwood. A white label from HCP Auctions South West identifying the item as Lot 841 is present on the upholstery.
