Lot 889: A Pair of Late 20th Century Rattan Conservatory Armchairs
A pair of conservatory-style lounge chairs constructed with thick-gauge bentwood rattan frames. The design features double-railed curved armrests and decorative cross-hatch lattice panels to the sides. Each chair is fitted with three loose, upholstered cushions consisting of a seat cushion and a two-part backrest. The upholstery is a beige-ground textile featuring a repeating abstract geometric pattern of waves, diamonds, and chevrons in shades of russet red, plum, and charcoal. The frames are secured with visible screws and traditional lashings at the joints. A white inventory sticker marked with the number 889 is present on one frame.
