Lot 915: Two Contemporary Giclée Prints on Stretched Canvas
This lot comprises two unframed contemporary digital giclée prints on stretched canvas. The larger work features an abstract surrealist composition executed in a vibrant palette of red, orange, purple, and blue. The imagery depicts a stylised profile of a face merging into fluid, organic forms, anchored by a central dark silhouetted figure and a yellow celestial orb. This composition is visually consistent with the work Visionary Layers by Maurice Hawkins. The smaller work presents a graphic illustration of a school of stylised fish against a white ground. Each fish is decorated with individual geometric patterns and motifs in a varied multi-coloured palette. Both works are modern decorative reproductions and do not feature any visible artist signatures or dates on the face of the canvases. A small white adhesive label is present on the left edge of the smaller canvas, though the characters are not clearly legible.
