Lot 929: Early 20th Century Arts and Crafts Oak Two-piece Glazed Bookcase
This Arts and Crafts style bookcase, dating to the early 20th century, is constructed from oak and features a two-piece design. The upper section is composed of a pair of tall glazed doors set beneath a stepped projecting cornice. The doors are decorated with leaded glass panes that incorporate Art Nouveau heart-shaped motifs in coloured and textured glass, including shades of purple, green, and amber. The interior is fitted with adjustable shelving. The lower section comprises a twin-door cupboard with solid panelled doors, standing on a simple plinth base. The doors are fitted with period metal drop handles and corresponding escutcheons. No manufacturer stamps or labels are visible. The item bears paper auction lot labels numbered 1080.
