Lot 1061: Two Late Victorian Provincial Elm and Ash Lath-back Kitchen Chairs
An early 20th century glazed bookcase or display cabinet, constructed from dark stained oak in the Jacobethan revival style. The cabinet is of single piece construction, topped with a stepped decorative cornice and accented with turned spindle finials at the front corners. It features two large doors fitted with leaded glass panels, each divided into multiple rectangular panes. The base of each door contains a solid oak panel decorated with a raised, geometric cross-shaped moulding. The interior is finished with a vertical planked back and contains three adjustable wooden shelves. The doors are operated by a central metal turn-latch handle. A small white paper label with the handwritten red number 1080 is adhered to the frame.
