Lot 1081: A Modern Pine Two Over Four Chest of Drawers
A set of five industrial linking chairs manufactured by Modern Industries (London) Limited under the brand name Mindon. Dating from the circa 1970s, these chairs were originally intended for institutional or commercial environments such as reception rooms or waiting areas. The chairs are constructed with black painted, square-section metal frames and plywood seat bases. Both the seat and the backrest are upholstered in a textured blue vinyl faux leather. A distinctive design feature is the modular linking mechanism located on the underside, consisting of bolt and wing-nut assemblies that allow the chairs to be secured together in a row.
