Lot 1190: A 20th-Century Tudor Revival Stained Oak Glazed Display Cabinet
A vintage countertop balance scale, possibly attributed to Toledo, constructed from cast iron with enamelled finishes. The piece features a white enamelled pedestal base supporting a dark-painted central mechanism. On one side is a small, flat metal platform intended for weights, while the opposite side features a larger, shallow metal pan with a white interior and a green enamelled underside. Two adhesive labels are present on the base and mechanism, one white printed with 1193 and one green handwritten with 450. The design is characteristic of early 20th-century general store or confectionery scales.
